SuperJunior、少女时代、SHINee、f(x)等受欢迎的团体多数所属的SM娱乐(以下SM)，宣布21日Mnet的「2009 MAMA」（Mnet Asian Music Awards）正式缺席。 3日下午SM宣布SuperJunior、少女时代等SM所属歌手们不参加21日「2009 MAMA」 SM主张「2009 MAMA获奖者选定基准及公正性不受信赖，Mnet的音乐榜单程序，M COUNTDOWN的名次选定基准和类似的2009 MAMA的获奖者选定基准及公正性不能信赖」。 说明少女时代的『Gee』其它音乐榜单做9周连续第1位的期间,M COUNTDOWN只有一次也不能上到第1位。 SM传达了「不信任Mnet选择标准的基础」所以SuperJunior、少女时代、SHINee、f(x)等SM所属歌手们将不参加。
